A simple snack for date night, Salsa Valentina y Papitas Fritas

No fancy meals or expensive restaurants for us tonight. Alex and I are just gonna curl up on the couch with a bowl chips sprinkled with Valentina to watch a movie.
Sometimes a simple date night is the best date night, right? What’s your favorite simple date night snack?

The first time I saw salsa Valentina in a NY store I laughed, and cried inside of happyness. The best Salsa. And works for cleaning the old stains too! š haha! Saludos de Edelman.- Adal
Many of our friends who don’t live in Harlem have mentioned that Valentina is difficult to find, I’m so luck to have it available at the grocery across the street!
I live in SpaHa š Valentina, Sabritas, the unthinkable is available. So UNUSUAL, but gotta love it. Saludos Gabriela! Adal
I’ve been on a health kick for over a year and got real used to eating air popped pocorn with spray I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and a little salt. I like it better than micro popcorn, and it’s relatively guilt free.
I agree, home-popped popcorn is so much tastier and healthier!
This sounds perfect to me! Our simple date night involved a movie and Chinese takeout š
Mmmm, Chinese takeout is one of our favorite lazy date nights too.
I was craving Lays potato chips drowned in Red Devil hot sauce and fresh lime juice when your post popped up in my inbox. Too funny!
yummmm…Red Devil is my dad’s favorite hot sauce, I’ll try it instead of Valentina next time š
This is my favorite snack! I’ve been craving it for months, but haven’t been able to figure out how to recreate it perfectly. What brand of chips do you use? I want something crispier than Lay’s, but not kettle chips… help?
Hi Anni, We used utz brand kettle cooked chips. Next time I see the papitas y valentina vendor on the street (yup, we have a guy who sells Mexican salty snack on our street) I’ll ask him where he gets his chips š
