Gabriela’s Kitchenette: Orange & Avocado Crowned Black Thai Grilled Chicken

I cook more than Mexican and Latin inspired dishes. Follow me on Tumblr at Gabriela’s Kitchenette for quick, creative recipes and  inspirations from my kitchen and around the web.

This past weekend I assisted talented home-cook, Janice Elder, as she prepared her finalist and WINNING recipe at the 2010 Dole California Cook-Off at the Epicurean Scool of Culinary Arts in Hollywood, CA.

    Hi Gabriella,
My friend Megan is a big fan of yours and wanted to host a Tamalada for her birthday. She sent us all your video and we came prepared to make and eat tamales!. Please visit my blog to see the fun we had!

That chicken looks very Californian and Thai:) How lucky you were to be able to watch and help, wish I was there.

You’re right Tina, it was a very California inspired recipe! You should enter a recipe in next year’s competition! xogabriela
